Allens Croft Primary School
Allens Croft Primary School is a diverse, fully inclusive two-form entry school, with three Resource Base classes, set in extensive grounds in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham. We are looking to appoint committed, enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, and caring Catering Assistants. The successful candidates will need to have experience of basic food preparation and service of food, working in a busy kitchen environment, good organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively, being a team player, to start as soon as possible.
Job Purpose
The job purpose is to assist with the day-to-day operations of the school kitchen, which includes assisting with the preparation, cooking, and serving of food under the direction of the catering manager and supervisor. This will also include duties of cleaning the kitchen and dining room spaces before, during, and after service.
Responsibilities
We’re looking for people that can:
- Assist with the preparation of meals for pupils
- Serve meals to our pupils and staff
- Assist with keeping the kitchen and dining hall clean & tidy
- Complete general kitchen duties including washing up and assisting with stock deliveries
- Understand and be aware of the pupils' needs and dietary preferences
- Understand and be aware of hygiene and health & safety requirements
Hours and Contract
There are two roles on a fixed term contract, term time only, 22.5 hours per week and 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Working hours to be confirmed.
