Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager to lead our catering operations. The successful candidate will take ownership of food preparation, presentation, and safety standards, while managing day-to-day service and mentoring the wider catering team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an established hospitality professional to step into a leadership role and help deliver memorable dining experiences.

Please note: candidates must live near East Kilbride to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistently high quality standards
  • Lead the team in serving meals and beverages courteously to guests and clients
  • Manage the setup and clearing of catering areas before and after events
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Oversee delivery logistics, including loading, unloading, and transporting supplies or equipment as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness standards across kitchen and service areas throughout shifts
  • Manage stock replenishment and inventory checks
  • Ensure excellent guest service by promptly resolving customer needs and inquiries
  • Set the standard for professional phone etiquette when taking orders or handling client communications
  • Coordinate across the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of catering services

Skills

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is essential
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices
  • Skills in cooking, meal preparation, or culinary arts are desirable
  • Background in hotel, catering, or kitchen management is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for interacting with guests and team members
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
  • A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
  • Candidates must live near East Kilbride
