Catering Manager

We are delighted to be recruiting a Catering Manager for a leading Law Firm in the City. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the catering operation within a prestigious corporate environment.

This is a varied and rewarding role, overseeing the staff restaurant, busy café operation and tea points throughout the building. You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the customer experience, drive commercial performance and develop your career towards a future General Manager role.

The Role

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, the Catering Manager will lead a team of 10 staff.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation, ensuring consistently high standards of service, food quality and presentation, while creating an engaging and welcoming environment for customers.

The role offers plenty of scope for creativity and innovation, including coordinating sampling days, pop-ups and seasonal promotions. Introducing seasonal drinks and customer competitions and developing new ideas to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.

Commercial & Financial Responsibility

Alongside the operational leadership, you’ll take ownership of the department’s financial performance, including:

  • Tracking sales and monitoring commercial performance.
  • Processing weekly invoices and managing stocktaking.
  • Analysing sales mix at month end.
  • Producing financial statistics for monthly client reviews.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and drive sales.

About You

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded catering manager who is passionate about food, coffee and exceptional customer service.

You’ll Ideally Have

  • Previous experience in contract catering or another high-volume, premium catering environment.
  • Strong operational and people management skills.
  • A genuine passion for food, coffee and customer experience.
  • The ability to drive sales and manage financial performance.
  • A creative approach to developing new retail concepts and promotions.
  • The ambition to progress towards a General Manager position.
