Delaware North UK is hiring a full-time Catering Services Director to join our team at London Stadium in Stratford, London. As Catering Services Director, you will be managing the food and beverage operation across multiple disciplines, including meetings and events and tours. You will be providing a cost effective and quality service to all guests, creating excellent experiences. Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the catering operation across event days, non-event days, meetings and events, and tours, driving exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong external partnerships
  • Oversee food and beverage operations to a high standard, ensuring efficient stock management and purchasing to meet financial targets and margins
  • Support Heads of Department and team members through recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Drive performance through managing budgets, labour costs, quality standards, KPI action plans, and sales opportunities across operations, including tours, meetings, and events
  • Ensure the operation complies with current health and safety, food hygiene, fire regulations, licensing laws, and trading standards, adhering to legislations and maintaining Delaware North’s policies and standards of excellence

Qualifications

  • Further education qualification in Catering, or relevant Business degree
  • Experience in high volume and quality food operations, with a strong understanding of catering facilities
  • Experience managing meetings and events sales or tours programmes
  • 2+ years’ experience managing three or more senior managers is beneficial
  • 3+ years’ financial accountability for a large single site or several smaller sites is beneficial

From its start as hosting the 2012 Summer Olympics, London Stadium has grown to hold a vibrant portfolio of world-class sporting events, from holding Europe’s first MLB Series, games from the IRB 2015 Rugby World Cup, to a range of Athletics events with the annual IAAF Diamond League, and hosting both the London 2017 World Athletics Championships and 2017 World Para Athletics Championships, the first location to ever hold both events in the same year.
