Catering Supervisor - Cameron Hospital
Are you an experienced catering professional with supervisory experience and a passion for delivering high-quality patient and retail catering services?
NHS Fife is looking for a motivated Catering Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of the Catering Service at Cameron Hospital.
Working closely with the Catering Manager, you will provide frontline leadership to the catering team, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-focused food services are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily catering operations and support staff performance.
- Coordinate staffing, rotas, annual leave, and absence cover.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, infection prevention, and NHS standards.
- Support staff induction, training, and development.
- Monitor food quality, service delivery, and patient satisfaction.
- Liaise with clinical teams regarding dietary requirements and specialist diets.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and resource management.
- Promote safe working practices and maintain a clean, organised working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Supervisory experience within catering, hospitality, healthcare, or food service.
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene and HACCP principles.
- Experience managing staff and allocating workloads.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise competing demands.
- Competent IT skills.
