Role Description
The Catering Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bruton, Somerset. This role oversees daily catering operations, ensuring that food preparation, service, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained and aligned with Lodestone House’s philosophy. Responsibilities include:
- Supervising catering staff
- Organizing work schedules
- Coordinating food service for school meals and events
- Training team members
- Handling basic administrative tasks
- Supporting continuous improvement in quality and

Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, scheduling, and performance oversight
- Skills in food service, with experience in delivering consistent, high-quality meals
- Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards, including compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
- Effective communication skills for engaging with pupils, school staff, and team members
- Experience in school or education-sector catering is beneficial
- Ability to work flexibly around school schedules and handle busy service periods
