Wherever we are, we do more than serve. We bring places to life through food, service and creativity and we’re looking for a Catering Supervisor to join our team in Victoria Gate Cafe at Kew Gardens.

Location: Kew Gardens, Richmond, TW9 3AB

Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour

Shift Pattern: 0 hour contract, Pre rotated rota

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise catering operations during service, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and high standards at all times.
  • Motivate, support, and coach team members to deliver efficient, friendly, and professional service.
  • Conduct pre-service briefings and communicate daily priorities, promotions, and operational updates.
  • Monitor service quality, resolve customer queries or complaints, and escalate issues where required.
  • Ensure all catering areas are fully stocked, clean, presentable, and service-ready.
  • Drive sales through effective product knowledge, customer engagement, and upselling opportunities.
  • Maintain strong communication between front and back of house teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Support stock control, minimise waste, and assist with achieving financial targets.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company procedures.
  • Complete operational checks, cleaning schedules, and compliance records to maintain audit-ready standards.
  • Act as a role model, promoting a positive team culture and delivering memorable visitor experiences at Kew Gardens.
