Catering Team Leader - National Highways Account, Birmingham
Location: Three Snow Hill Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6GA
Role: On-site
Salary
£14.12 per hour
Hours
37.5 hours per week: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday (start and finish times may vary due to operational needs and can be discussed in interview)
About Amey
Amey provides comprehensive facilities and estate management services for National Highways England, including maintenance, cleaning, and project management. We collaborate with clients, staff, and partners to ensure our 24/7 service maintains high standards with minimal disruption, keeping one of Europe's busiest road networks safe and operational.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team to work together and achieve a smooth reception & event experience, booking and managing events including all refreshments / stationary requests.
- Ensure reception points are fully staffed during required hours.
- Develop a team / direct report.
- Provide good customer service.
- Offer a positive, friendly, and welcoming manner to the client.
- Provide a catering preparation service to clients / control stock levels.
- Order, report & record all catering orders for the Midlands NH contract on CAFM, following Amey application for payment process.
- Identify & report hazards in the workplace.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring that legislation is complied with.
- Ensure effective health and safety planning and inspections are undertaken regularly and appropriate records maintained.
- Deliver practical, sustainable, and commercially successful results brilliantly; work with others to solve problems.
- Exceed customer expectation through listening and responding quickly. Proactively seek to improve own skills and act with honesty and integrity.
- Take personal accountability for ensuring Amey employees and the public are kept safe at all times; react to new challenges with a flexible and positive attitude; share knowledge and learn from best practice to achieve Amey’s objectives.
- Complete all required team activities and processes.
