Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Chef at St Mary's Catholic Upper School, in Bishops Stortford who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and passionate individual to ensure that the food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards.

The Role
- Salary: £13.25 per hour
- Hours: 35 hours per week working Monday – Friday
- Contract Type: Term-time only – working 38 weeks per year
Responsibilities:
- Assist with all planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard.
- Ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers.
- Brief kitchen teams on menus and service.
- Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously.
- Carry out company bookwork.
