Job Description
We are hiring for a Catering Manager at Churchfield Primary School, Cudworth, Barnsley, focused on providing future generations with nutritionally balanced and tasty meals. This role operates term-time only, with no weekend shifts, making it ideal for those seeking flexibility.
Key Details
- Salary: £14.25 per hour
- Hours: 32.5 per week (Monday–Friday)
- Contract: Term-time only (190 weeks per year)

Role Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to Caterlink’s and the client’s standards
- Ensuring compliance with statutory Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintaining and enhancing Caterlink’s reputation for exceptional food and service
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, including:
- Supervising teams
- Managing inventories
- Monitoring budgets
- Implementing improvement action plans
- Serving as the primary point of contact for the school client, driving regular enhancements
- Reporting KPIs and financial targets to your line manager for performance monitoring
- Supporting and training teams, leading by example to ensure role excellence through ongoing training and performance management
