Cath Lab Manager
Location: KIMS Hospital, Maidstone
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £52,266 – £59,000 per annum, dependent on experience

KIMS Hospital is looking for an experienced and inspirational Cath Lab Manager to lead our Interventional Suite and Cardiology Services.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cardiac Nurse, CCU Lead, Cardiac Unit Manager or experienced Cath Lab professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and make a real difference to the way our cardiology services are delivered.
You will provide strong clinical, operational and strategic leadership, ensuring our patients receive safe, compassionate and exceptional care at every stage of their journey. Working alongside Consultant Cardiologists, Radiologists, Anaesthetists and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will help drive high standards of clinical practice while supporting the continued development and growth of our cardiology service.

Responsibilities
As Cath Lab Manager, you will have the opportunity to make your mark across both the clinical and operational aspects of the service. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and inspire the Cath Lab and Interventional Suite team, creating a supportive, high-performing culture focused on patient safety, quality and exceptional patient experience.
- Provide visible clinical and operational leadership, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of cardiology and interventional services.
- Use your cardiac nursing expertise to support high standards of clinical practice, working collaboratively with Consultant Cardiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Lead, develop and retain a skilled workforce through effective recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, education and professional development.
- Champion clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety, ensuring the service meets CQC, MHRA, NICE and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Take responsibility for departmental resources, budgets, equipment and service development, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance patient care.
- Develop strong relationships with consultants, colleagues and external partners to ensure effective patient pathways and a consistently excellent patient experience.
- Contribute to the continued development and growth of the cardiology service, identifying opportunities to enhance the service and improve outcomes.

About You
We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced cardiac nurses who have already demonstrated strong leadership within a CCU, cardiac unit, cardiology service or Cath Lab environment.
You will be a confident and compassionate clinical leader who can balance excellent patient care with the operational demands of managing a specialist service.
Essential Criteria
You will ideally have:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with a postgraduate qualification in Cardiology (degree level or equivalent).
- Extensive post-registration experience within Cardiology, a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, CCU or Interventional Suite, together with experience of leading and managing a clinical team.
- Proven experience of clinical leadership, governance, service improvement and team development.
- Experience of managing resources and budgets, with the ability to understand and contribute to the operational and commercial aspects of a clinical service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with consultants, colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Desirable criteria
- Mentorship qualification and experience of supporting the education and development of clinical staff.
- Experience of leading change, service development or productivity improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience within a Cath Lab or Interventional Suite.
