The Role

We are actively looking for a CCO for our UK Ports and Terminal business, this role is integral for our European business as we strive to become a leading end to end logistics provider. This role will be tasked to grow the revenue to over $1.0bn of revenue across London Gateway and Southampton with projected EBITDA at over $600mn. As you can imagine this role is going to be instrumental in driving the overall business for the UK.

You will be developing the growth strategy for both the ports which includes shipping lines, BCOs, Logistics Park, port- park integration and multimodal. As part of the ports leadership team in the UK you will be working with the leadership team to help deliver ambitious growth and be part of strategic decisions to make DP World the leading port operator in the UK.

You will develop a 3 to 5 year commercial growth portfolio that will include growing existing accounts alongside identifying new revenue streams and building business plans for long term investment into the port. Your role is instrumental in breaking down silos within the business making sure that you are prioritising total value enterprise value across all of your divisions instead of optimising individual business- unit revenues in isolation.

You will also develop a high quality commercial analysis capability that provides the leadership team and commercial leaders with timely, decision useful insight into business performance and growth. There will also be work around developing your own commercial forecasting that will allow you provide rolling forecasts, customer and volume outlooks, scenario modelling, risk and opportunities and early warning indicators.

So, what are we looking for?

Key skills and experience include:

  • Significant executive level commercial leadership experience within ports, logistics, supply chain, shipping, transport, infrastructure or related services
  • Proven success in delivering substantial revenue growth, profitability improvement and commercial transformation
  • Experience of leading large complex commercial organisations with significant financial accountability
  • Strong understanding of global trade, shipping, logistics, supply chains and customer solutions
  • Strong financial acumen and an incisive, analytical mindset that shows strong decision making skills with proven success
  • MBA or equivalent executive qualifications desirable.
