Contract: Flexible / Sessional

We are currently supporting a well-established UK private mental health provider in the appointment of a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Adult ADHD assessments. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician looking for flexible, fully remote work within a clinically focused organisation that is committed to improving access to high-quality mental health assessment and treatment.

The role
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will undertake comprehensive Adult ADHD assessments remotely, providing high-quality diagnostic assessments and clear clinical recommendations. You will work with adult patients presenting with potential ADHD, taking a thorough clinical history, considering differential diagnoses and comorbidities, assessing risk, and reaching an appropriate diagnostic formulation in line with current clinical guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Adult ADHD diagnostic assessments
- Take detailed psychiatric, developmental and psychosocial histories
- Assess for differential diagnoses, comorbidities and clinical risk
- Apply appropriate validated assessment tools and clinical frameworks
- Formulate and communicate diagnostic outcomes clearly
- Produce high-quality clinical reports and recommendations
- Provide appropriate post-diagnostic guidance where required
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Work within professional, regulatory and organisational governance frameworks
- Contribute to a high standard of patient-centred, evidence-based care

Essential requirements
- CCT in Psychiatry
- GMC Specialist Registration with a licence to practise
- Minimum 2 years’ post-CCT experience with ADHD assessments
- Strong knowledge of ADHD presentation in adults and relevant differential diagnoses
- Experience assessing psychiatric comorbidity and clinical risk
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently within a remote clinical environment
- Appropriate professional indemnity cover
