Job Description
CCTV Assistant
Location: Cornwall
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Salary: Competitive salary plus benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the accurate, consistent & efficient completion of CCTV and drainage-based survey requests
- Responsible for safe and compliant undertaking of all activities required to achieve requested drainage surveys
- Deployment and remove basic Signing, Lighting and Guarding to NRWSA (Red Book) standards
- Oversee and supervise CCTV Assistant in on all site activities and workloads to ensure efficiencies and productivity are maximized.
- Generate and process site survey information through various IT software – Wincan VX, Microsoft Office, PDF editing,
- Undertaking detailed and accurate drainage mapping
- Able to utilize, maintain and use various survey equipment and technology
- Carry out & oversee compliant and safe confined space entry activities
- Carrying out on site point of works risk assessments to maintain and document safe working
- Apply PUWER/LOLER weekly inspections
- Utilizing work-based App for reporting of Hazards/observations, positive safety interventions and improvement suggestions
- Maintain clean, orderly vehicle and equipment
- Ensure correct PPE and task specific PPE is correctly utilized

Qualifications
About you:
Essential
- Experience drainage surveys and mapping
- Good communication; calm under pressure;
- Physically fit for outdoor work in all weather, lifting/moving loads within safe limits.
- Organisational skills
- Be able to exercise good judgment when required & have problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to fault find, problem solve and investigate drainage networks
- Actively promote a safe working culture by ‘Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe” and leading by example.
- Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness.
- IT skills processing survey information and applications
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to layout and present data and information clearly
- Experience in Asset Surveys & Site Surveying
- Valid UK driving licence
- OX19x – Pipe Sewer Classification
- CSCS Card
- Competent in LOLER & PUWER
- Strong awareness of H&S, traffic management and drainage networks
- Camera system technical knowledge
- Data control and capture
