Job Title & Location

CCTV Assistant – Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Cullompton, UK

Package:

Key Responsibilities

As a CCTV Assistant, your role will include:

  • Setting up, maintaining, cleaning, and storing drainage survey equipment and cameras
  • Supporting manual handling activities to access drainage networks
  • Moving equipment to survey locations
  • Assisting in setting out basic Signing, Lighting and Guarding
  • Operating as part of a confined space entry team
  • Conducting weekly asset checks on assigned equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace and vehicle
  • Ensuring detailed tool control to prevent equipment loss
  • Preparing and organising equipment for site tasks
  • Applying PUWER/LOLER inspections
  • Using a work-based App to report hazards, observations, and safety improvements
  • Ensuring correct PPE usage

Qualifications & Experience

About You: Essential Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Physically fit for outdoor work in all weather conditions, with safe lifting capabilities
  • Willingness to work evenings, early mornings, and nights
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and lead by example
  • Commitment to a safe working culture following "Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe"
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Possession of a CSCS card
  • Awareness of Health & Safety (H&S) regulations

Desirable (Not Exhaustive)

  • Confined Space Entry (Medium) qualification
  • SLG (Unit 2) certification
  • First Aid at Work qualification
  • Training in Manual Handling, Working at Height, COSHH, SHEA Water Hygiene
  • PTS (Rail Access and Clothing)
  • Experience in asset/mapping surveys
  • Experience in drainage surveys and asset mapping
