JOB TITLE: CCTV Operator
LOCATION: Oxford OX2 8GD
SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off shift pattern - 19:00 - 07:00, 42 hours per week
PAY RATE: £15 per hour

To provide a professional and effective security presence, ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, contractors, property, and assets. The successful candidate will carry out security duties including access control, CCTV monitoring, site patrols, incident reporting, and response to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Security Duties
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the site.
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols.
- Monitor and control access and egress points.
- Verify identification and credentials of visitors, contractors, and staff.
- Prevent unauthorised access, theft, damage, or criminal activity.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
CCTV Monitoring
- Monitor CCTV systems in accordance with company procedures and data protection regulations.
- Identify and report suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Maintain accurate records of CCTV incidents and observations.
- Assist management and law enforcement with CCTV footage reviews when required.
- Ensure all CCTV equipment is operational and report faults immediately.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct routine health and safety inspections.
- Report hazards, maintenance issues, and security concerns.
- Assist with emergency evacuations and fire alarm activations.
- Follow all site-specific security procedures and company policies.

Administration & Reporting
- Complete daily occurrence books, incident reports, and shift handover notes.
- Record visitor, contractor, and vehicle movements accurately.
- Maintain clear communication with site management and fellow security personnel.
- Produce detailed written reports following incidents.
Requirements
- Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence.
- Previous experience in a security role.
- Experience monitoring CCTV systems.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong observation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT and report-writing skills.
- Flexible approach to working days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Desirable Requirements
- CCTV Public Space Surveillance (PSS) Licence.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience within commercial, industrial, logistics, or corporate security environments.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
