Join Wilson James as a CCTV Operator
Wilson James is seeking a professional and vigilant CCTV Operator to join our security team at a prestigious corporate campus in Sunbury. This is a critical role responsible for monitoring CCTV systems, supporting incident management, protecting people and assets, and ensuring the highest standards of security and compliance.
Working from a dedicated control room, you will play a key role in maintaining site safety, supporting emergency responses, and providing accurate evidential records when required.
About The Role
- Monitor live CCTV, PTZ and ANPR systems across the site to identify security threats, suspicious activity and safety concerns.
- Maintain constant situational awareness across multiple buildings, car parks, public areas and pedestrian routes.
- Respond to alarms, incidents and security concerns, escalating appropriately to the Duty Security Manager.
- Coordinate and support on-site security officers through effective radio communications.
- Produce accurate incident reports, control room logs and evidential records.
- Extract and securely preserve CCTV footage in accordance with GDPR and company procedures.
- Conduct routine system checks and report faults or equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure only authorised individuals access the control room and CCTV systems.

What We Are Looking For
- Valid SIA DS and CCTV Licence.
- Proven experience operating CCTV systems within a control room, security operations centre, or surveillance environment.
- Strong observation and analytical skills with the ability to monitor multiple camera feeds effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and incident logging.
- Experience handling and preserving evidence while maintaining a clear chain of custody.
- Knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection legislation and CCTV best practice.
- Ability to follow site procedures, SOPs and security protocols with minimal supervision.
- Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- AED/Defibrillator certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
