An exciting opportunity for an Appointment Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Appointment Co-ordinator to join our Community Diagnostic Centre at Queen Victoria Hospital.

The Role

The post holder will provide a high-quality administrative and appointment booking service, supporting the smooth coordination of patient pathways from referral. Working closely with clinical and administrative colleagues, the role is key to ensuring patients receive timely appointments and diagnostic investigations in line with the Trusts standards and targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a comprehensive appointment coordination and administrative service, ensuring patients are booked efficiently for outpatient clinics and diagnostic investigations.
  • Support the management of patient pathways, process referrals, maintain accurate records on Trust systems, and ensure appointment outcomes are recorded in line with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) investigations, respond to patient enquiries, manage appointment bookings and amendments, and provide reception support when required.
