ROLE PURPOSE

The CDE & Information Management Lead is responsible for the development, rollout, and continuous improvement of information management and Common Data Environment (CDE) practices within the P&R Business Unit.

  • Working closely with the Information Manager, Project Teams, and Document Controllers, the role supports the implementation, adoption, and consistent application of information management processes across projects.
  • The role focuses on driving standardisation, improving data quality, and enabling effective information flow, ensuring alignment with international standards as well as organisational and client-specific requirements, while supporting the digitalisation of the business unit.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Lead information management and CDE implementation across the P&R Business Unit
  • Support digitalisation initiatives and continuous improvement across the Business Unit
  • Drive the rollout and adoption of standardised digital workflows and processes
  • Ensure alignment with international, organisational, and client-specific standards & requirements
  • Support projects in implementing consistent and efficient document control practices
  • Monitor compliance with company and Business Unit CDE standards and protocols
  • Promote standardisation of naming conventions, workflows, and data structures
  • Review the document control structure across the various P&R regions and propose changes to ensure alignment and clear structure across the Business Unit
  • Ensure the integrity, accessibility, and security of project information

KEY TASKS, ACTIVITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Routine Tasks:

  • Work collaboratively with project teams and Document Controllers to embed and maintain standardised information management and CDE practices, ensuring alignment with company and client requirements
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to project teams on CDE and Information Management processes, including responding to user queries and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to company standards; escalate deviations for approval
  • Act as the lead point of contact for Document Controllers within the P&R Business Unit, supporting the consistent application of standards and best practices
  • Oversee and monitor document control activities across P&R projects, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement
  • Promote and support compliance with agreed project standards, client requirements, and internal procedures
  • Promote good practice in information handling, ensuring data integrity, security, and proper governance
  • Provide guidance on project environment setup and liaise with central CDE support functions for system-related configuration
  • Support onboarding of new projects by guiding teams on agreed structures, workflows, and standards
  • Support the Information Manager in delivering user training and guidance on platform usage across the P&R Business Unit

Periodic Tasks:

  • Review current method of implementation of document control across the various regions in the P&R Business Unit and make proposals to improve and align methods of work across the various regions
  • Support the rollout and continuous improvement of information management and CDE practices across the P&R Business Unit in alignment with established organisational standards
  • Collaborate with the Information Manager on business unit–level digitalisation and process improvement initiatives
  • Support system updates and upgrades (subject to CDE management team’s approval)
  • Monitor CDE platform usage and assist with information management compliance audits
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of templates, workflows, and guidance materials in alignment with organisational and client requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company standards, protocols, and information management practices
  • Capture lessons learned and support their application across projects to improve consistency and performance

ESSENTIAL BASIC EXPERIENCES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within construction industry on a similar role
  • In depth knowledge and experience working within a CDE (Common Data Environment)
  • Understanding of information security & confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation, protocols, and procedures
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 19650 standards and information management principles is preferable
  • Experience in implementation and rollout of digital tools and standard processes
  • Ability to monitor compliance and identify gaps in information management practices
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
