About The Role
Quant Capital is urgently seeking a highly skilled C++ Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a small, tech-driven hedge fund that values engineering excellence and innovation. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the firm’s trading software infrastructure primarily using C++ and Java. You will collaborate closely with research teams to architect and analyze new automated electronic trading algorithms, playing a pivotal role in expanding and optimizing the firm’s trading platform. The environment is akin to tech giants like Google or Facebook, emphasizing open communication, creative problem-solving, and autonomous work. Qualifications
- A degree in mathematics, science, computer science, computer engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering principles and practices.
- Proven expertise in programming with C++, with a solid track record of developing on Linux/gcc platforms.
- Experience with profiling and optimizing software algorithms to enhance performance.
- Knowledge of network programming, multithreaded programming, and inter-process communication.
- Experience with distributed architecture systems and scalable software solutions.
- Ability to operate across multiple layers of abstraction and work independently.
- Passion for technical problem-solving and delivering robust, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and implement high-performance trading software infrastructure using C++ and Java.
- Collaborate with research teams to develop and analyze automated electronic trading algorithms.
- Build and expand the firm’s proprietary research platform to support new exchanges, products, and functionalities.
- Optimize and profile software to ensure low latency and high reliability in trading environments.
- Participate in the development of distributed systems architecture to support scalable trading operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm’s technology stack by adopting best practices and innovative solutions.
- Work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple technical layers and components.
