Role Description
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) will lead WideXP’s data and technology development strategy, ensuring that data-driven initiatives align with business objectives and support sustainable growth. This is a full-time, remote role, limited to candidates who are residents of the UK and offered on an equity-only compensation basis. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining and overseeing data governance frameworks, managing data quality and data management initiatives, and guiding the adoption of data science practices across the company’s service lines. The CDO will collaborate closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to prioritize development roadmaps, drive innovation in AI/ML/DL and software solutions, and establish measurable performance and compliance standards. The role also involves mentoring cross-functional teams, representing the data and development function in strategic discussions, and fostering a culture of analytical decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Strong expertise in data governance and data management, with the ability to design and implement scalable frameworks and policies.
- Proficiency in data quality practices and data science methods to support reliable analytics, modeling, and decision-making.
- Advanced analytical skills, including experience interpreting complex datasets, setting KPIs, and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
- Proven leadership experience in technology or data-focused organizations, ideally within engineering or software services environments.
- Background in AI/ML, cloud-based solutions, or software development life cycle management is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to align technical teams and business leaders.
- Strategic mindset with a track record of driving growth, transformation, or innovation through data and technology initiatives.
- UK residency required; prior experience in equity-based or startup leadership roles is an advantage.
