We’re looking for a Central Costs Financial Controller to lead financial control, transparency, and performance across our central functions.
Reporting to the Group Operations Finance Director, this is a pivotal role shaping a robust, disciplined approach to managing overheads within a fast-paced, multi-brand hospitality business.
You’ll strengthen financial foundations — from reporting accuracy and cost control to governance and forecasting — while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to turn data into clear, actionable insight that drives better decision-making.
At the same time, you’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, helping to ensure the organisation operates with clarity, control, and commercial focus.

The Role
You will:
- Lead financial reporting and month-end processes for central cost functions, ensuring accuracy and strong control
- Own budgeting and forecasting, partnering with budget holders to challenge spend and improve cost efficiency
- Act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, supporting decision-making and investment analysis
- Deliver clear management reporting on cost performance, risks, and opportunities
- Strengthen governance, compliance, and audit readiness across central functions
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, and reporting
- Build strong relationships, translating financial data into clear, actionable insight
About You
You’ll bring:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Strong experience in financial control, management accounting, or central cost finance within a complex organisation
- Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)
- Deep understanding of financial reporting, cost control, and budgeting
- A commercially minded, analytical approach with strong attention to detail
- Confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, including Board level
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
