The Role
This role acts as a bridge between Finance and our commercial buying and merch teams, seeing the total picture and working with the HOMs to secure best outcomes.
Working with BMD, Finance and Technology to ensure data disciplines are maintained and fit for purpose.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supports the Head of BMD Finance in delivering company strategy
- The “Expert” user of Markdown Edge, creating scenarios to support decision making for the Commercial Director
- Accurately rolls up the MD submitted by each divisional HoM, providing comparisons to plan and potential profit implications.
- Keep the business aware of annualising promotional activity, weather, events and associated implications
- KPI Tracking - work in conjunction with BMD to ensure we are delivering KPIs and our key Merchandising Strategies
- Option Planning - Track whether we are hitting option/ ROS targets and present to HOMs, opportunities and risks
- Ensure that infrastructure allows for required commercial analysis – e.g. UDAs are appropriate for the season
- Develop and maintain hierarchy rules and bandings, driving consistency across the business
- Provide business wide regular and ad hoc BMD analysis
- Develop Analysis to support company strategy and identify improvements
- Manages BMD teams to deliver on going housekeeping of data

Who You Are
- Has excellent team working skills, supporting BMD to deliver requirements
- Demonstrates strong communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of the business inclusive of senior management team
- Able to display a confident and professional style, taking appropriate action to influence the achievement of business goals
- Is methodical and analytical in approach, appreciating the need for accuracy and attention to detail
- Expert Excel skills
- PC literate – Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
- Resilient and Adaptable
- Excellent time management

- Understanding of IT Constraints
- Presentation skills
