Job Introduction

What is the role?

As a Central Operations Manager, you will use your unique understanding of retail and the wider business to successfully manage and embed operational improvement projects across our 4 stores, which enhance our customer and team member experience.

As a Central Operations Manager You Will

  • Oversee the delivery of improvement projects. From managing the formulation of new processes, seeking input and advice from stakeholders across the business, seeing through implementation and post-launch support and amendments
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess current processes and identify challenges and root causes
  • Consider all possible areas of risk and impact with a process, foresee challenges and provide opportunities to mitigate
  • Collaborate with and influence functions where necessary, gaining all relevant inputs required to develop a robust process and then land it successfully as a new way of working. From Finance, IT, Comms and Retail to name a few
  • Present it all back to our teams and senior leaders; Able to put together really powerful presentations in PowerPoint and comfortable presenting this to a senior audience, in terms of communicating the business case and change to teams

How You’ll Do It…you Will Be

  • A self-motivated multitasker, managing multiple projects at a time and driving them forward
  • Have advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and be skilled at summarizing and simplifying complex challenges so anyone can understand
  • Analytical, with an excellent working knowledge of Excel
  • Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You can see the risks and opportunities within processes and procedures, and can offer solutions
  • Collaborative. Building relationships is key, working across various functions and stakeholders to simplify ways of working, confident to take the lead and influence where necessary
  • A great communicator. You have excellent influencing and negotiating skills, whilst building professional, lasting relationships at all levels
  • A retail expert. You will have in-depth knowledge of both front and back of house operations and procedures
  • Commercially astute. You have a successful track record in the achievement of targets and objectives, with an ability to deliver excellence.
