THE SOUTHFIELD TRUST is a Multi Academy Trust of four special schools that provide outstanding education and enriching experiences for over 625 young people with a range of additional needs. Role Description

The Central Operations Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Eastbourne, providing administrative and operational support across THE SOUTHFIELD TRUST. This role involves managing day-to-day central office tasks, including maintaining records, preparing documentation and reports, coordinating meetings, and supporting internal communication. The administrator will assist with operations management activities such as data collection and analysis, tracking key operational metrics, and supporting compliance with Trust policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include responding to enquiries from schools, families, and external partners, ensuring a professional and helpful service, and supporting the smooth running of Trust-wide projects and initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with school leaders and central teams to ensure consistent, efficient processes that enhance the Trust’s overall effectiveness.

  • Strong Operations Management and Administrative Assistance skills to support central processes, documentation, and coordination.
  • Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to handle enquiries, provide information, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills to manage data, interpret information, and support decision-making across Trust operations.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or equivalent) and comfort working with databases and digital systems.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience in an educational, public sector, or not-for-profit environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience in administration, business support, or operations is desirable.
