About The Role
We're looking for a Central Planning Co-ordinator to join our Planning & Support team at Whistl North. Working closely with the Planning Supervisor, Network Planning Manager, and Transport Planning team, you'll support the day-to-day planning of collections and deliveries across our network while helping to ensure operational efficiency and excellent service levels.
What You Will Be Doing
- Support the planning of collections and deliveries across the network's van fleet.
- Monitor volumes against available capacity and highlight any issues to the Planning team.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, depots, transport teams, and operational colleagues.
- Work closely with Customer Service and Commercial teams to fulfil customer collection requests.
- Maintain and update transport systems, ensuring data accuracy and overall system housekeeping.
- Produce performance reports and distribute information across the wider business.
- Identify opportunities for route improvements and support efficiency initiatives.
- Assist with shared mailbox management, administration, and wider planning activities.

Requirements
What We're Looking For

- Experience within a transport, logistics, planning, or distribution environment.
- Good knowledge of UK geography and road networks.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively and see tasks through to completion.
- Experience using transport management or logistics planning systems
Additional Information
- Flexible approach to working hours to support operational requirements.
- Occasional business travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
