This is an opportunity to join a team that handles around 50,000 requests each year, directly contributing to operational success while helping deliver significant cost savings and exceptional customer service.

What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the purchasing team, you'll take ownership of the procurement process from order creation through to delivery and resolution. You'll work closely with suppliers, distribution centres, customer service teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure supply requirements are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Raising, reviewing, and managing purchase orders in line with company policies and supplier agreements
- Monitoring supplier performance and proactively resolving supply and delivery issues
- Managing daily spend and material costs through effective stock and inventory management
- Tracking orders and communicating delivery updates to stakeholders
- Managing backorders and ensuring customers and internal teams are kept informed
- Resolving invoice discrepancies, returns, damaged goods, and supplier-related queries
- Coordinating trans-shipment activities between suppliers and distribution centres
- Maintaining accurate procurement records within systems such as Oracle
- Supporting inventory, finance, and technical data teams with product coding, invoicing, and credit processes
- Managing product shortages and ensuring stock allocation follows agreed priorities
- Researching and sourcing parts for obscure, classic, and non-standard vehicle manufacturers
- Delivering excellent service through the timely resolution of customer and supplier issues
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using procurement or ERP systems, ideally Oracle
- A solid understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
- A proactive approach and a passion for delivering excellent customer service
