The Role
You will be in the central team for execution of orders coming from our portfolio managers, systematic strategies and treasury. Your job is to get those orders done at the best achievable price, with the lowest market impact and full control of risk, utilising our trading systems.
The desk trades across centralised crypto exchanges and OTC counterparties on one side, and listed equities, ETFs, and futures on the TradFi side. Many trades span both worlds, such as crypto basis and carry trades hedged with listed products. You will need to be as comfortable on a Binance order book as on an IB or broker algo blotter.
This is a hands-on seat. You will sit next to the traders, quants and developers who build our execution tools, and your feedback will shape them.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute orders for portfolio managers and strategies across crypto spot, perpetuals and futures, and listed equities, ETFs and future
- Run multi-leg and cross-asset trades, such as crypto basis, funding carry and ETF or equity hedges, keeping legs in step and residual risk small
- Watch automated trading and hedging bots in real time. Spot stalled hedges, rejected orders and position-limit breaches, and step in when needed
- Measure execution quality with transaction cost analysis (TCA): slippage against arrival, VWAP and mid, fill rates and market impact. Report it to PMs and management
- Keep venue knowledge current: fees, rebate and liquidity programmes, funding mechanics, listing and delisting events, and exchange rule changes
- Work with quants and developers to improve execution algos, smart order routing and monitoring tools. Write clear specs and test changes
- Handle incidents calmly: venue outages, connectivity loss, fat-finger risk and sudden volatility

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
