We are partnering with a new specialist children’s neuro-rehabilitation centre to appoint its inaugural Centre Director/General Manager.
The centre will bring together specialist therapy, technology-assisted rehabilitation and exceptional personalised service for children and young people, in an environment designed to support the entire family. Planned facilities include dedicated therapy gyms with advanced equipment, spaces for parents to work, family dining and rooms for family counselling. The first therapy gym will be ready in November 2026, with the main centre opening in Q1 2027.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to help build the operation ahead of launch: shaping the team, systems, service standards and culture ahead of opening, then leading the centre day to day. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the founders and clinical leadership, you will take ownership of the centre’s operations and the non-clinical experience of children and their families. The clinical team leads the care; this role leads the family experience and the operation.
Responsibilities
- Shaping the family journey, from first enquiry and pre-arrival arrangements through ongoing therapy, discharge and follow-up
- Leading pre-opening operational readiness, including recruitment, insurances, systems and IT, reporting, suppliers, operating procedures and service standards
- Building and leading the team, bringing clinical and non-clinical colleagues together around a consistent approach to family care
- Running the centre day to day, overseeing front of house, family liaison, food, housekeeping and facilities
- Coordinating scheduling and use of therapy spaces, working with clinical colleagues to make visits well organised and consistent
- Managing budgets, resources and costs alongside the CEO, with broader financial accountability developing over time
- Owning billing, payments and collections across the centre’s funding routes
- Listening to families, anticipating needs and resolving issues sensitively, continually improving the service as the centre develops

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
