The Heart Health Centre at Welbeck is a leading independent cardiovascular service, bringing together some of the UK's most respected cardiologists, cardiac and vascular surgeons, and specialist healthcare professionals in a purpose-built, patient-centred environment. Located in the heart of London's renowned medical district, the centre delivers comprehensive diagnostics, outpatient care, advanced cardiac imaging, rhythm management and invasive cardiology.

About the role
As Centre Director, you will be responsible for leading a high performing, multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care within a state-of-the-art private clinical environment.
The role combines operational leadership with commercial accountability. You will oversee day-to-day centre management while identifying and executing opportunities for growth, innovation, and service expansion. With responsibility for financial performance, you will manage budgets, support strategic planning, and drive revenue and profitability.

You will act as a key connector between clinicians, corporate teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment, collaboration, and delivery of both clinical excellence and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring efficient service delivery and exceptional patient care
- Monitor centre KPIs including utilisation, patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and overall performance
- Lead, develop, and manage multidisciplinary teams, including clinical and administrative staff
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, collaboration, and patient experience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, partners, and internal stakeholders
About you
You are an ambitious, resilient, and highly capable healthcare leader with both clinical credibility and strong management expertise.
You may come from a nursing, allied health professional, physiotherapy, medical, or equivalent healthcare background, with proven experience leading complex healthcare operations and CQC-regulated services.
You bring a blend of operational expertise, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, enabling you to balance patient care excellence with sustainable business growth. You are confident working in fast-paced, evolving environments and are comfortable leading through periods of change and expansion.
A natural collaborator and communicator, you build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams and with senior stakeholders. You lead with integrity, resilience, and clarity, inspiring high performance while supporting the development of others.

Recruitment Process
For this role, the stages are listed below. Timescales are mapped out to give candidates an understanding of when decisions will be made. We aim to commit to these dates as much as possible.
Stage 1 - Shortlisting (based on applications) – to be completed by 21st August
Stage 2 - Screening Calls – between 22nd and 25th August
Stage 3 - 1st interview (likely via Teams) – Thursday 3rd / Friday 4th September
Stage 4 - 2nd interview (in person - London) Thursday 10th / Friday 11th September
Stage 5 – Final Board interview (in person – London) – Date TBC
