Location: Liberty House Clinic, Luton
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full-time - 40 Hours per week

Liberty House Clinic is part of UK Addiction Treatment (UKAT), one of the UK’s leading providers of residential addiction treatment and recovery services.
Based in Luton, Liberty House provides a supportive and structured residential environment for individuals seeking treatment for alcohol addiction, drug addiction and associated behavioural and emotional difficulties.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Centre Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Liberty House Clinic.
This is a key leadership position with responsibility for ensuring the centre delivers safe, effective and high-quality care while maintaining strong standards across compliance, safeguarding, health and safety, quality assurance and internal governance.
The successful candidate will provide strong operational and people leadership, creating a positive culture for both clients and colleagues while supporting staff development, service quality, client experience, occupancy and the continued development of the treatment programme.
This role would suit an experienced and confident leader with a background in health and social care, residential services, substance misuse, mental health, therapeutic services or another regulated care environment.
Key Responsibilities
As Centre Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of Liberty House Clinic, including rota planning, client care, facilities management and overall service delivery.
- Ensuring the centre operates in accordance with UKAT policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and quality standards.
- Maintaining compliance with CQC requirements, safeguarding responsibilities, health and safety legislation, confidentiality, information governance, medication management and other legal and regulatory obligations.
- Leading safeguarding processes, incident management, risk management and continuous service improvement.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, governance and compliance across all areas of the service.
- Contributing to the development, quality and effective delivery of the therapeutic recovery programme.
- Supporting the delivery of therapeutic interventions, group work, one-to-one support and recovery-focused activities.
- Supporting initiatives that promote social inclusion, independence, reintegration and sustainable long-term recovery.
- Compiling, monitoring and reporting service data accurately and within required timescales.
- Line managing, supervising and supporting employees, bank workers and volunteers to achieve agreed objectives.
- Ensuring colleagues receive effective induction, training, supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development.
- Supporting colleague engagement, retention and performance through visible, effective and compassionate leadership.
- Promoting a positive culture in which colleagues feel supported, accountable and empowered to deliver high-quality care.
- Maximising client retention and occupancy while maintaining appropriate standards of care and client safety.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of good practice, regulatory developments and changes within substance misuse and the wider health and social care sector.
- Overseeing the health and safety of the building and ensuring any maintenance, facilities or safety concerns are identified, reported and addressed promptly.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across UKAT and contributing to wider organisational priorities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- A Health and Social Care Management qualification at QCF Level 5 or equivalent.
- Experience overseeing the operations of a centre, service or similar regulated environment.
- Experience within substance misuse, mental health, residential care, therapeutic services or a comparable health and social care setting.
- Experience supporting or delivering therapeutic interventions, including group work and one-to-one interventions within a substance misuse or related environment.
- Strong people management experience, including supervision, performance management, colleague development and managing challenging situations.
- Experience leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
- The ability to manage delegated financial budgets effectively.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and other relevant workplace systems.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding, compliance, quality assurance, risk management and regulatory requirements.
- The ability to lead and support a diverse workforce, including permanent employees, bank workers and volunteers.
