Why This Role Is Worth Your Attention

This is a senior advisory opportunity for an experienced operational, transformation, or executive-advisory professional who can help a growing organisation strengthen operational performance and improve the quality of leadership decision-making.

You will work closely with the CEO, executive stakeholders, and relevant functional leaders to assess priority operational challenges, identify practical improvement opportunities, and support more disciplined execution across the business.

It is a senior advisory role supporting the CEO on operational-excellence priorities. The role does not itself confer line-management authority, budget authority, or delegated executive decision-making authority unless expressly confirmed by the employer.

The Stakeholder Problem You’ll Help Solve

As organisations grow, strategic ambition can outpace operating discipline. Leaders may need clearer performance insight, stronger cross-functional coordination, more effective operating rhythms, and practical support to turn priorities into measurable action.

In this role, you will help the CEO and executive team understand operational issues, evaluate trade-offs, improve visibility of delivery risks, and progress agreed improvement initiatives. Your work will help senior stakeholders move from discussion to aligned execution.

Why Your Background Matters

Your experience will be valuable if you have worked in operational excellence, business transformation, strategy execution, continuous improvement, consulting, or senior operating roles.

You will bring the credibility to engage senior decision-makers, the judgement to handle sensitive business issues professionally, and the ability to translate complex operational information into practical recommendations.

Relevant backgrounds may include senior operational leadership, transformation delivery, business performance, executive advisory, strategy implementation, process improvement, or management consulting. Equivalent experience demonstrating operational impact and senior stakeholder influence will also be considered.

What You’ll Be Trusted To Do

  • Advise the CEO and relevant executive stakeholders on operational-excellence priorities, risks, trade-offs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Diagnose operational-performance issues using qualitative and quantitative evidence.
  • Develop concise recommendations, decision papers, presentations, and implementation roadmaps for senior audiences.
  • Support the design, monitoring, and reporting of operational KPIs, performance reviews, and improvement plans.
  • Coordinate agreed cross-functional workstreams, maintaining visibility of actions, dependencies, risks, decisions, and milestones.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving with functional and operational leaders.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce operational friction, and strengthen execution discipline.
  • Support leadership teams in improving collaboration, decision-making, and alignment around agreed priorities.
  • Monitor progress against agreed initiatives and escalate material delivery risks through appropriate governance channels.
  • Build trusted working relationships with executive stakeholders, operational leaders, and subject-matter experts.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
