Relocation opportunity to Bucharest, Romania!

We are recruiting for a position based in Bucharest, Romania. The company is open to candidates currently located in the UK who are interested in relocating.

For our partner, operating within the Art & Collectibles sector, we are currently supporting the recruitment of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Responsibilities

The CEO is responsible for the overall strategy, growth, and success of the company within the Art & Collectibles market. The role requires a clear vision for the business direction, effective leadership of the executive team, and the ability to drive continuous development, innovation, and operational excellence across the auction house and its associated activities.

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and implement the company's overall growth and business strategy.
  • Establish short-term and long-term growth objectives.
  • Represent the company in relationships with key partners, investors, and high-profile clients.

Operational Management

  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee the executive leadership team.
  • Drive operational excellence by optimizing internal processes and organizational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and industry requirements within the Art & Collectibles sector.

Market Development & Innovation

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, market expansion initiatives, and growth strategies.
  • Promote the adoption of emerging technologies and innovation in auction services and digital art.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, collectors, galleries, cultural institutions, and other key stakeholders.

Financial Management

  • Oversee the company's financial performance and provide regular reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and financial plans.
  • Ensure the implementation of a sustainable revenue growth strategy and long-term financial stability.

Marketing & Communications

  • Strengthen the company's brand positioning and increase its visibility both nationally and internationally.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives, communication campaigns, and digital strategies.
  • Develop and execute an effective public relations strategy to support business objectives and corporate reputation.

Qualifications

  • Proven executive leadership experience, ideally within the Art & Collectibles, Luxury Retail, FMCG,
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting and performance management.
  • Good understanding of digital transformation, e-commerce, and online platforms.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are considered an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of management experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Track record of driving business growth, market expansion, and organizational transformation.
