Chief Executive Officer (UK) – The BUSY Group UK
Location: United Kingdom
Compensation: £Highly Competitive plus bonus, car allowance, pension and benefits.
Moon Executive Search is delighted to be partnering with The BUSY Group UK to appoint an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next stage of growth, integration and organisational maturity. Based in the UK and reporting to the UK Board, with an operational reporting line to the Group CEO in Australia, this is a rare opportunity to lead a purpose-driven organisation delivering measurable social impact across education, employability, health and wellbeing services.
The BUSY Group has a long-established reputation for helping people access skills, education and employment opportunities. Building on the strong UK platform established over recent years, the incoming CEO will lead a growing multi-entity organisation, bringing together diverse services, strengthening operational excellence and delivering sustainable growth while remaining true to the organisation's values and social purpose.
The successful candidate will lead a rapidly growing UK organisation through its next phase of maturity, integration and expansion, creating a disciplined, commercially sustainable and high-performing business whilst preserving the entrepreneurial culture and stakeholder relationships that have underpinned its success to date.
Key Leadership Priorities
- Create one integrated UK business, bringing together multiple service lines, operating brands and specialist functions into a cohesive, aligned and high-performing organisation.
- Strengthen operational leadership by building accountability, developing senior leaders and embedding consistent performance standards across all UK operations.
- Provide strong financial stewardship, including full P&L responsibility, commercial decision making, forecasting, investment planning and sustainable growth.
- Lead effectively within a global matrix environment, partnering with the Australian executive team and UK Board whilst balancing local market opportunities with wider Group objectives.
- Support sustainable growth by identifying strategic opportunities, strengthening organisational capability and ensuring operational readiness for future expansion.
- Champion education, safeguarding and governance excellence, ensuring quality, compliance and risk management remain at the heart of service delivery.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with government, commissioners, funders, regulators and key stakeholders across the UK.
- Build a high-performing, values-led culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, inclusion and continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate
This is a career-defining opportunity to shape the future direction of The BUSY Group UK, and we are seeking an accomplished CEO, Managing Director, Country Director or equivalent senior executive who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record of leading complex, multi-site or multi-entity organisations.
- Experience delivering sustainable growth, transformation and operational improvement.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including full P&L responsibility.
- Success operating within government-funded, regulated or mission-led environments.
- Experience working with Boards and executive leadership teams within matrix or group structures.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills.
- A values-led leadership style with a commitment to social impact, inclusion and organisational excellence.
- The ability to balance entrepreneurial ambition with operational discipline and governance.
