The Role
This isn't a typical entry level role. You won't be filing reports in a corner or waiting for permission to do something meaningful. You will work directly with the CEO - across every function, every challenge, and every opportunity. One day you might be analysing a new market, the next you're preparing materials for an investor meeting, and the next you're helping shape a new feature. You'll see it all.
This role exists because the CEO needs a trusted, high horsepower person in their orbit who can take things off the plate, bring clarity to complexity, and help the business move faster.
Real responsibility from day one. No hand holding. No busywork. Just hard, meaningful work with people who care about building something great.
What you will do
Strategy & Operations
- Support the CEO in executing on company priorities and tracking progress against goals
- Own cross-functional projects from scoping to delivery - driving them to completion
- Research markets, competitors, and regulatory developments; distil findings into actionable insights
- Help design and improve internal processes to keep the company running efficiently as we scale
Commercial & Partnerships
- Assist in preparing materials for investor updates, board packs, and fundraising processes
- Help manage key commercial relationships and support business development efforts
- Conduct due diligence and analysis on potential partners, customers, or opportunities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Product & Compliance
- Work closely with the team on product priorities, user feedback, and roadmap input
- Support compliance and regulatory workstreams - understanding the rules of the road in regulated payments
CEO Support
- Act as an extension of the CEO - preparing for meetings, following up on actions, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
- Draft communications, presentations, and documents to a high standard
- Be a trusted sounding board: challenge thinking, offer perspectives, and help the CEO make better decisions
Who We're Looking For
We care far more about who you are than where you've been. That said, the right person will likely have:
- A degree - what matters is that you can think, learn, and communicate clearly
- Graduate or less than 2 years work experience
- Genuine curiosity about fintech, payments, or building businesses - you've read around the space, not just heard the buzzwords
- Exceptional written and verbal communication - you can write a crisp email and a compelling slide deck
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality - you notice when something isn't quite right and you fix it
- The ability to prioritise ruthlessly and work at pace - you get things done, and you don't get flustered
- Low ego, high ambition - you're confident enough to push back but humble enough to know when you're wrong
- A bias to action - you'd rather try and iterate than wait for perfect conditions
- Resilience and persistence - when things are hard (and they will be), you keep going
