🚨 SC Cleared Contract Opportunity | Certificate Lifecycle Manager & PKI Architect (CLM) 🚨

I'm working with a leading IT Services & Consultancy client looking to engage an experienced Certificate Lifecycle Manager (CLM) & Architect to support a major secure transformation programme.

  • Location: Primarily remote with occasional travel to London
  • Contract: 4 months initial + chance for extension
  • Rate: £600–£650/day (Inside IR35)
  • Start: Immediate
  • Clearance: Live & Active SC Clearance is mandatory

The Role We're looking for a senior CLM / PKI Architect who can combine strategic advisory expertise with hands-on implementation experience to help define and deliver an enterprise Certificate Lifecycle Management capability.

You'll assess the current PKI and certificate landscape, lead stakeholder workshops, support the selection of an enterprise CLM platform, and design a Proof of Concept before producing a roadmap for implementation.

CLM / PKI Architect Key Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops to capture current certificate management processes, risks and business requirements
  • Assess enterprise PKI and certificate environments
  • Define target-state CLM operating models, governance and lifecycle processes
  • Evaluate and recommend enterprise CLM solutions
  • Design and deliver a Proof of Concept (PoC)
  • Identify opportunities for certificate automation and lifecycle improvements
  • Produce assessment reports, technical documentation and implementation roadmaps
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, cloud, networking and application teams

CLM / PKI Architect Essential Skills

  • Extensive experience with Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Strong knowledge of X.509, TLS/SSL, certificate authorities and Microsoft AD CS
  • Experience with CLM platforms such as Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert, Sectigo, CyberArk or similar
  • Experience delivering certificate discovery, inventory, monitoring, renewal and automation initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and technical documentation skills
  • Experience working within large enterprise or IT Services environments

  • Azure Key Vault, AWS Certificate Manager or other cloud certificate services
  • Kubernetes, cert-manager and container security
  • PowerShell, Python or infrastructure automation
  • CISSP, CISM, CCSP or Microsoft Security certifications
