Job Title: Certified Fire Surveyor
Location: London (Field-based across all zones)
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Benefits Package
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Certified Fire Surveyor to join a growing fire safety team in London. In this mobile, field-based role, you will carry out essential fire safety surveys and technical inspections across a wide variety of commercial, residential and public sector properties throughout Greater London.
You will act as a key technical expert, identifying non-compliance, evaluating existing passive fire protection measures and delivering clear, actionable remediation reports to protect lives and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive visual and intrusive inspections of passive fire protection systems across various building types.
- Inspect, assess, and audit fire doors, ensuring compliance with current standards (e.g., BS 8214).
- Survey and evaluate fire compartmentation, fire stopping installations, and structural fire protection.
- Detail necessary remediation works, providing accurate scopes of work, photographic evidence, and technical recommendations.
- Produce high-quality, precise survey reports using modern digital auditing software.
- Travel regularly to client sites throughout Greater London to deliver time-critical inspections.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, contract managers, and remediation teams.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Certified Qualification: MUST hold a relevant accredited certification in fire surveying or passive fire protection (e.g., FPA, IFE, DipFD, ASFP, NEBOSH Fire, or FIRAS/BM TRADA inspector status).
- Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on experience surveying fire doors, compartmentation, fire stopping and passive fire remediation works.
- Regulations Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of current UK building regulations, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and the Building Safety Act.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel across all areas of London. A full UK driving licence (or capability to navigate London transport efficiently with equipment) is required.
- Reporting Skills: Strong written communication skills with experience using digital survey applications and reporting tools.
