Role Description
The Certified Lithium Processing and Battery Materials Technician Trainer will deliver practical and theoretical training modules on lithium processing, battery materials, and related safety and quality standards. This contract role is based in London with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site training sessions in laboratories or training centers with some remote work for curriculum development and learner support. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, conducting workshops and demonstrations, assessing learner performance, and providing feedback to help participants gain industry-relevant skills. The Trainer will collaborate with curriculum designers and industry partners to keep content aligned with current technologies and regulations, and may contribute to online learning resources, documentation, and continuous improvement of training programs.

- Strong technical knowledge of lithium processing, battery materials, and related manufacturing or laboratory processes.
- Experience delivering vocational or technical training, including developing lesson plans, practical exercises, and assessments.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards applicable to battery materials and chemical handling.
- Ability to explain complex scientific and engineering concepts in clear, accessible language to diverse learner groups.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools used for hybrid training delivery (e-learning platforms, presentation software, video conferencing).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and equitable education.
- Relevant technical qualification or degree in materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a closely related field; industry certifications in battery technology are an advantage.
- Prior experience in battery manufacturing, energy storage, or green technology sectors is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving industry standards and curricula.
