This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) actively assists the surgeon in the safe performance of surgical procedures by providing appropriate exposure, maintaining hemostasis, and performing other authorized technical functions. The CSFA functions under the direct supervision and direction of the surgeon. When functioning in the CSFA role, the individual does not concurrently perform the duties of the primary Surgical Tech. Practice is carried out in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and within the scope of education, training, and certification as a Surgical Tech.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
Experience: 2 years surgical scrubbing experience
Licenses/Certifications:
- American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers).
- Certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants as a Certified Surgical Assistant, or the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting as a Certified Surgical First Assist, or the American Board of Surgical Assistants as a Surgical Assistant-Certified.
