About Us

We are a high-performance Formula One Team driven by innovation, precision, and passion. Our Aerodynamics department is at the heart of race car performance, using cutting-edge tools and technologies to optimize aerodynamic efficiency and unlock lap time. The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) team plays a crucial role in simulating and analyzing aerodynamic and thermodynamic behavior, providing insights that directly influence car development and on-track performance.

As a CFD Student Placement, you will gain hands-on experience working within a world-class aerodynamic development environment, supporting the application of CFD tools to solve complex engineering challenges and improve race car performance.

The Role

As a CFD Student Placement, you will support the CFD team in the deployment and application of computational modeling techniques used to enhance car performance. Working alongside experienced CFD engineers and aerodynamicists, you will contribute to simulation activities, data analysis, process improvements, and development projects.

You will gain exposure to advanced aerodynamic and thermodynamic simulations while developing an understanding of how CFD is used to support Formula One car development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the use of CFD tools to simulate aerodynamic and thermodynamic behavior across a range of development projects
  • Assist with the setup, execution, and analysis of CFD simulations
  • Help investigate and develop new approaches to aerodynamic and computational challenges
  • Analyze simulation data and present findings to engineers and stakeholders
  • Support correlation activities between CFD results and experimental testing data
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of CFD workflows
  • Work closely with Aerodynamics, Design, and Performance groups to support development programs
  • Contribute to technical documentation, reporting, and project coordination activities
  • Support engineers in troubleshooting and resolving CFD-related issues

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
