The Role
Our client, a dynamic mid-sized consultancy known for hands-on delivery and measurable results, is reviewing and transforming the global finance function of a multinational advanced materials business. They need a senior finance subject matter expert to join the consulting team and be a credible advisor to the CFO and finance leadership from day one.
Scope is expected to cover the finance operating model, shared services, core processes (close, reporting, P2P, O2C), FP&A and the finance systems roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior finance SME on the consulting team, working alongside consultants of all grades.
- Build trusted relationships with the CFO and finance leadership team, representing the consultancy.
- Shape and deliver the diagnostic process and pressure-test findings
- Shape and challenge the target operating model and roadmap so they are credible to a CFO and are implementable in practice.
- Lead or support senior workshops and steering committees.
- Coach the team on finance content, working within the consultancy's methodology.

Essential Experience
- Either a CFO or Finance Director of a substantial international business who has led a global finance transformation, or a senior management consultant who has led global finance transformations for large multinationals.
- Finance operating model redesign across multiple countries and legal entities, including shared services.
- Credibility and influence at CFO level.
