We're working with an ambitious and expanding professional services organisation to appoint a Chief Financial Officer – Client Services. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic finance professional to play a key role in shaping how finance services are delivered to a diverse client portfolio while contributing to the continued growth of the wider business.

This role combines commercial leadership, client advisory, operational excellence and business development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys influencing strategy as much as delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a trusted strategic adviser to a portfolio of clients, helping them achieve their commercial and financial objectives.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing client services team, creating a culture focused on quality, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Driving business development activity, identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships and secure new business.
  • Ensuring the delivery of exceptional outsourced finance and advisory services across a broad client base.
  • Working alongside senior leadership to develop new service offerings and enhance the client proposition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
