Role Description

Leading and managing the operational delivery of CFO Evolution in-custody and non-CFO Hub community, ensuring all performance, MI, quality and compliance requirements are achieved

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of CFO Wings and Core/Feeder Prison services, ensuring effective timetabling, participant engagement, case management, and delivery of programme objectives.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of CFO Support Workers and Evolution Wing Facilitators, ensuring high performance, attendance management, continuous improvement, and ongoing professional development
  • Maintain oversight of safeguarding, risk management, and incident reporting processes, ensuring adherence to Shaw Trust, HMPPS, and contractual policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with prison, probation, community, employer, and multi-agency partners to support a whole-system approach and maximise participant opportunities
  • Develop referral pathways and strengthen communication between custody and community services to facilitate seamless participant transitions and minimise duplication of provision
  • Drive contractual performance, quality, and continuous improvement through effective monitoring, data management, stakeholder engagement, and oversight of subcontractor and training provider delivery, ensuring targets are achieved and high-quality services are delivered

What We Need From You

Must have/be able to:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate, engage, and support teams to achieve individual and collective targets. Skilled in performance management, coaching others, working with data to drive outcomes, and supporting individuals with complex needs to progress towards education, training, and employment.
  • Able to deliver results within a target-driven environment while balancing people-centred support with commercial objectives. Knowledge of local labour markets and disadvantaged groups, with strong organisational, administrative, and Microsoft Office skills, alongside the ability to identify and proactively manage risks and issues.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Flexible, resilient, and adaptable, able to work independently and as part of a team, manage competing priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, embracing change, and delivering excellent customer service while acting with integrity and supporting organisational goals. Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and professional standards, including meeting the requirements for enhanced DBS clearance, prison vetting, and regional travel.

Great To Have/be Able To

  • IAG qualification e.g. NVQ Information, Advice and Guidance, PTLLS L3
  • Experience in coaching and leading a team to drive success in a challenging and target driven environment.
  • Experience in the criminal justice sector, with a sound knowledge of the operation of prisons, probation and community rehabilitation services. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to risk management, with practical implementation of reduction measures and ongoing reassessment.
  • Able to demonstrate an awareness of restorative justice with a commitment to the rehabilitative approach Able to demonstrate a resilient and robust approach to working within challenging and unpredictable environments.
