CFO, PE-Backed SaaS, Manchester, up to £150,000 + Bonus + Equity

Cedar is partnering with a private equity-backed B2B SaaS business to appoint a commercially focused Chief Financial Officer.

Following a recent growth investment, the business is entering an exciting stage of its development. With an established international customer base and significant scope for further expansion, it is now looking for a CFO who can help shape and execute the next phase of growth.

This is broader than a traditional finance leadership position. Operating as a genuine strategic partner to the CEO and Board, the CFO will combine robust financial leadership with the commercial and operational mindset of a CFO/COO.

The opportunity

The CFO will take ownership of the finance function while playing a central role in the wider development of the business. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and professionalising a scalable finance function
  • Developing high-quality forecasting, budgeting and management information
  • Establishing clear SaaS KPI reporting across ARR, retention, churn, CAC, LTV and unit economics
  • Partnering with the CEO and leadership team on commercial strategy and growth execution
  • Providing insight across pricing, customer profitability and channel performance
  • Supporting operational decision-making across the wider business
  • Working closely with the private equity investor, Board and Chairman
  • Strengthening governance, controls and reporting
  • Supporting international expansion and future investment decisions
  • Preparing the business for its next funding event and, ultimately, a successful exit

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
