About the Company
Our client is a rapidly growing global media and technology business building infrastructure designed to transform how content is distributed, rights are managed and royalties are collected and settled.
The business operates at the intersection of media, technology and intellectual property, working with content owners, rights holders, broadcasters, telecoms and digital platforms across international markets.
Its technology enables content to be distributed globally while providing greater transparency around rights ownership, licensing and royalty flows. The platform is designed to automate elements of rights management and royalty settlement, creating a more efficient financial infrastructure for the global media and entertainment industry.
With operations spanning the UK and Middle East and an ambitious international growth strategy, the business is now looking to appoint a senior finance leader to help build the financial infrastructure required for its next stage.
The Role
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially minded CFO to take ownership of the group's financial strategy, with a particular focus on royalties, rights-related revenues and international settlement.
This is a highly hands-on leadership role within a business undergoing significant growth. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in royalty-led businesses and will play a central role in developing the finance function, systems and team as the organisation scales.
You could come from the music industry, publishing, film, television, gaming or another media environment where royalties, intellectual property and complex revenue flows are fundamental to the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
