About the Role
Mark Sattin Executive Search is working with an investor-led, multisite healthcare business with a strong position in its market. The business is continuing to develop its operational, financial, and commercial strategy and is seeking a CFO to partner with the CEO and senior leadership team.
The CFO will play a key role in shaping and executing the strategy for the business, supporting sustainable growth and operational development, while providing leadership across the finance function. The role will have a broad remit spanning financial management, performance, investment, acquisitions, and commercial decision-making, including supporting the development of the Group’s commissioning, pricing, and growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Lead the consolidation of financial information and reporting, bringing greater consistency and clarity to the way performance is measured across the organisation.
- Strategic Planning: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and working capital.
- Operational Collaboration: Work closely with operational leadership to understand performance, challenge assumptions, and identify areas for improvement.
- Commercial Insight: Play an important role in the wider commercial agenda, helping to evaluate and commercialise opportunities across the business.
- Leadership: Help identify areas of latent value, support operational improvement, and ensure financial insight is translated into meaningful action.

Ideal Candidate
- Qualification: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or ACMA).
- Experience: Operated autonomously as a Chief Financial Officer or Finance Director within a regulated healthcare, services, consumer, or similarly operationally focused environment.
- Track Record: Strong track record across financial reporting, consolidation, controls, forecasting, and management information within a multisite organisation.
- Leadership: Led the development and improvement of finance functions, including systems, processes, reporting frameworks, and performance dashboards.
- Mindset: Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to understand the wider business, identify opportunities, and translate financial insight into commercial and operational action.
- Leadership Style: Hands-on and credible leader, prepared to get their hands dirty when required, while acting as a trusted partner to the CEO, senior leadership team, and wider business.
