Chair

Location: Various sites across West Yorkshire, Stockport & Tameside, and Wigan, with additional locations expected to be added over time as Locala continues to develop and expand its service offer.

Remuneration: £44,000 per annum for a time commitment of circa 10 days a month

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join us as our next Chair. You will challenge and inspire, leading Locala and its Board in the creation and delivery of our organisational strategy, THRIVE, which will be reviewed and refreshed over 2027. This is a pivotal moment for the organisation and an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of community healthcare at a time when the needs of local populations, health systems and colleagues continue to evolve. Working alongside our Chief Executive and Board, you will help ensure we remain a trusted partner, an influential voice for social enterprise and a leading force for improving outcomes in the communities we serve.

We are looking for an inspirational and values-driven leader with the vision, influence and commercial acumen to guide a complex and purpose-led organisation. Comfortable operating at Board level, you will bring experience gained within complex, regulated and stakeholder-rich environments. You will balance social impact with long-term sustainability, provide thoughtful challenge and support, and build effective partnerships across health, care, public, voluntary and commercial sectors.
