For almost five decades, Wac Arts has championed creativity, opportunity and inclusion, empowering young people and communities in and around Camden through participation in the arts. We now seek an exceptional Chair to help guide the next chapter of our development, both in our arts programme and as custodians of the Old Town Hall in Hampstead.

Wac Arts are looking for a leader who shares our belief in the transformational power of the arts in young people and understands the vital role that cultural organisations play in enriching lives, strengthening communities and creating opportunities for young people to thrive. We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who bring a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, and possess the ability to build meaningful relationships with artists, partners, funders, communities and stakeholders. Above all, we seek a Chair who will be a trusted partner to our Chief Executive Officer and an inspiring advocate for Wac Arts’ mission and values. We look forward to meeting candidates who share this vision.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
