Company Description
Refugee and Migrant Network Sutton (RMNS) is a welcoming community hub for refugees, asylum seekers, and new migrants finding their feet in the London Borough of Sutton. We offer free, practical support—from English language classes and immigration-related legal advice to social groups like our creative courses and the International Coffee Club partnership with Trinity Church—helping our new neighbours feel genuinely at home. We are a volunteer-led team with a small group of paid staff seeking to relieve hardship and promote integration.

- Staff & Operational Oversight: Line manage the advice team (advice workers and administrative support) and oversee other staff and volunteers.
- Financial Oversight: Work with the board and Treasurer to monitor budgets, manage resources responsibly, and support long-term funding sustainability.
- Ambassadorial Role: Represent RMNS externally, building positive relationships with local partners and community stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
