Founded in 2020, this FA-accredited football club is based in South London and is committed to driving positive change in grassroots football. The club focuses on providing accessible, community-centered sporting opportunities, with a strong emphasis on youth development and inclusive participation. We have secure funding and are highly ambitious; having started at the lowest of all leagues, we have been promoted 6 times in 7 years and on the brink of turning semi-professional. The Chairperson role is a part-time hybrid position based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Chairperson will help to focus the club’s strategic direction, chair committee meetings, and ensure that decisions align with the club’s mission, values, and FA requirements. Retired players, managers from clubs in / around National League level with contacts and commitment might be ideal! The role involves representing the club at FA and grassroots football events, building relationships with partners and sponsors, and fostering strong community connections. The Chairperson will also help resolve issues, support risk management, and ensure clear communication with members, volunteers, and stakeholders.

- Experience in leadership, governance, or board-level roles, ideally within football.
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
- Competence in basic financial oversight, budgeting, and fundraising, supporting sustainable club operations.
- Knowledge of grassroots football or sports club structures, including familiarity with FA standards and safeguarding principles.
- Commitment to inclusion, fairness, and community engagement, with the ability to act as a visible and approachable club ambassador.
- Prior experience in a football club around National League level (approx) is beneficial but not essential.
